Welcome to Big Break Jiu-jitsu. We are a local family operated martial arts school that offers classes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and conditioning. Located in Oakley California. We cater to all ages and currently offer classes for children ages of 4 and up, teenagers and adults. Our classes range from beginner to advanced skill levels. Our goal is to teach practical and realistic self-defense as well as prepare for competition.

Big Break Jiu-Jitsu was founded by David Dean and Samantha Dean, both accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors with international experience. David began training in two thousand four, and Samantha started in two thousand ten. Drawing from years of competitive and coaching experience, we built Big Break to create a welcoming, no-pressure environment where students of all ages can develop confidence, discipline, and practical self-defense skills. Our mission is simple: empower families through martial arts and uplift the East Bay community.
